Sweater Wizard 3 Knitting Features
Sweater Wizard 3 has taken the concept of knitting software one step
further. Not only does the program chart sweaters in any style, any size
and any gauge, but it provides detailed text instructions for hand
knitting. The schematic for entering measurements is only a small part
of the program. Hidden behind the scenes are techniques that guarantee
successful and lovely garments.
The techniques are provided in the text directions. Sweater Wizard
never leaves the knitter hanging. Each step of the knitting process is
fully described.
New Knitting Features:
- Balanced ribs.
- Enter the rib pattern and Sweater Wizard balances it in the
flat, or corrects the number of stitches in the round. Text
directions display first row directions for establishing the rib.
*K3, p2 repeat from *, end k3.
- Three needle bind off option for shoulder joins.
- Technique described in finishing instructions and fully
explained in Sweater Wizard Guide with pictures.
- Short Row/Three needle bind off for all set-in styles.
- Saddle shoulder option reminds the knitter to check the neck
depth.
- Repeating patterns now match the standard. For example if the
pattern repeat is 4 plus 2 in the flat, the user enters the plus 2.
Sweater Wizard will adjust the stitches on the needle and the
measurement to match the repeat. If the user is not satisfied with the
results, click reset.
- Steeks instructions are now an option for knitting in the round.
- Mitered finishing fully described for square necks.
- More seamless knitting.
- More generous yardage approximation
Above are just a few of the knitting features which are an integral
part of Sweater Wizard. Sweater Wizard is not only a number calculator,
but a knitting advisor.
